Planning Notes
Strong winds make this a windsurfer's paradise but pick a sheltered site for comfortable trailer camping — chock well. Water to individual sites shut off October–March (one park-wide spigot stays active). Max 40 ft. From Austin: ~8.5 hrs via US-285 N through Carlsbad and Roswell then US-84 to Las Vegas NM.
