Planning Notes
AZ-85 south from Ajo to monument entrance (37 mi). Twin Peaks CG has 208 sites — 36 reservable on Recreation.gov, remainder first-come. No electric hookups anywhere in the monument. Dump station on-site ($). America the Beautiful Pass covers entry fee. The monument borders Mexico; all campground and road access is inside the US. From Austin: ~12.5 hrs via I-10 W through Tucson then AZ-86 W to Why, AZ then AZ-85 S.
