Download BLM travel map before arrival — designated routes only. No water. Stay on Escalante Canyon Road (CR 400, maintained gravel); avoid deep-canyon spur roads for trailer. Flash flood risk in canyon bottom after rain. From Austin: ~13 hrs via I-40 W → Grand Junction → US-50 S to Delta.
