Highlights

  • 55 first-come sites at 5,700 ft on the dramatic east face of the Organ Mountains with sweeping views across the Tularosa Basin toward White Sands
  • Two trail systems from camp: Needle Vista Loop and Pine Tree Trail — outstanding Organ Mountains scenery
  • Fills Organ Mountains–Desert Peaks National Monument entirely; complements Oliver Lee SP on the opposite side of the Organs

Planning Notes

The 23 ft max is the BLM guidance for Aguirre Spring Road (winding mountain road off US-70); a 16 ft trailer behind a standard pickup is well within spec. No water at sites — pack in everything. Not reservable; arrive by noon on holiday weekends. Brutal June–August; excellent fall and spring.
